Nigerian artist Ycee has released Out of Sight, Out of Mind Vol 1, his first project in nearly five years, blending hip-hop and melodic R&B across two distinct sides and featuring collaborations with PsychoYP, Dremo, Damilaremusic, Damian Karma and Kly.
The album arrives after a three-and-a-half-year hiatus from recording, marking Ycee’s return to a music industry that has changed considerably since his last release. Structured into two sides, the project is designed to reflect the dual registers of his artistry.

Side A is rooted in hip-hop, energetic and lyrically confident, while Side B shifts towards introspection, with slower, more melodic material addressing relationships, heartbreak and emotional vulnerability. Together, the two halves are intended to present a fuller portrait of the artist at this stage of his career.
The 13-track project opens with an intro titled “OOSOOM” before moving through tracks including “Leave Me Alone,” “Balling Forever,” “Island Girls” and “The Gees” on Side A. Side B includes “Ba Nkan Je,” “Kigali,” “Lemonade” and “Brokenhearted,” among others.
In a statement accompanying the release, Ycee addressed listeners nostalgic for his earlier work, saying the album reflects where he is today. “Chase your dreams and conquer your goals,” he said, “but refuse to be defined by your work or identified solely by your career.”
The album is distributed through ONErpm and is available across streaming platforms.
