Nigerian Afrobeats and street-pop artist Indriza has released a new single, “Shayla,” featuring fellow artist Cazulee.
The track centres on attraction, confidence and the excitement of a chance encounter, built around a playful exchange between two admirers responding to a woman who catches their attention.
Indriza opens the record with a lighthearted introduction before Cazulee enters with witty lines and colourful expressions, the two trading verses to capture the anticipation of a new connection.
Produced in an upbeat Afropop style, the song combines English, Pidgin and indigenous expressions, with a sing-along chorus aimed at social and casual listening settings.
“‘Shayla’ is about having fun, expressing admiration, and creating a song that people can enjoy with their friends,” Indriza said, adding that he wanted the record to feel lively and energetic.
Indriza has built a following in Nigeria’s Afrobeats and street-pop scene through music drawing on everyday experiences, pairing melodic hooks with relatable storytelling.
“Shayla,” now available on all streaming platforms via ONErpm, marks his latest collaborative release as he continues to expand his catalogue.
