Jodeci announces 35-city US tour for 35th anniversary

Jodeci has announced a 35-city US tour to celebrate the 35th anniversary of their landmark debut album, Forever My Lady, launching October 24 in San Francisco, per ratedrnb.com.

The tour kicks off at The Masonic in San Francisco, with stops in Las Vegas, Detroit, Chicago, Baltimore, and Atlanta before concluding December 19 in their hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. Tickets for the anniversary run are available now.

Released May 28, 1991, via Uptown Records, Forever My Lady spent two weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Written and produced by DeVante Swing, the album featured chart-topping singles including “Come & Talk To Me,” “Stay,” and the title track, helping establish the group’s influential sound throughout the 1990s.

Reflecting on the milestone, K-Ci Hailey and Mr. Dalvin noted in a joint statement that the connection with fans remains unmatched, adding that they intend to leave everything on the stage.

Earlier this year, the group commemorated the album’s anniversary with an expanded 2LP vinyl reissue featuring bonus tracks and an unreleased a cappella version of “Stay.”
