The estate of Dolly Parton has announced plans for “Dollyfest,” a two-day star-studded festival scheduled for next year across Nashville, Tennessee and London, England, serving as a celebration of the late country music icon’s life instead of a traditional memorial, per unilad.com.
Danny Nozell, CEO of CTK Enterprises, stated that the festival was originally envisioned by Parton to mark her 80th birthday in January 2026, but was postponed due to health challenges.
Nozell noted that the event aligns with Parton’s wishes to provide an authentic celebration for fans and artists globally. Parton passed away at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center following a brief battle with cancer, at the age of 80. Her death followed the passing of her husband, Carl Dean, a year and a half prior.
Family members released a statement highlighting her lifelong dedication to philanthropy, including the Imagination Library, which has gifted over 304.5 million books, and substantial donations toward medical research, disaster relief, and education. Ticket details and further information regarding the upcoming 2027 festival have not yet been released.
