Spyro drops new album, “The Men, The Boys & Your Guy”

Spyro, whose real name is Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, is marking a major milestone in his career with the release of his highly anticipated studio album, The Men, The Boys & Your Guy. The 19-track project, distributed by Cinq Music, is now available on all major streaming platforms.

The Nigerian Afrobeats star has quickly become a prominent voice in the global Afrobeats conversation. He first gained widespread attention with his 2022 single “Billing” and cemented his status with the explosive hit “Who Is Your Guy?”. The track, which earned him a Best Collaboration award at the Headies for its popular remix featuring Tiwa Savage, helped propel him to international fame.

With over 240 million YouTube views and one million monthly listeners on Spotify, Spyro’s rise from a humble choir singer in Lagos to a chart-topping sensation has been meteoric. His sound, which draws inspiration from R&B icons like Usher and Joe, has resonated with millions.

This new album is more than just a collection of songs; it’s a personal and musical statement. The title, The Men, The Boys & Your Guy, suggests a journey through different stages of life, bridging the gap between youthful innocence and the responsibilities of manhood.

A testament to Spyro’s versatility, the album explores themes of growth, evolution, responsibility, and love. It seamlessly blends rich Afrobeats rhythms with elements of dancehall, Afro-pop, and introspective ballads. This ambitious musical statement positions Spyro not just as a hitmaker, but as a complete artist with true staying power in the industry.

Beyond his chart-topping success, Spyro’s influence is clear through his collaborations with some of the biggest names in music, including Mayorkun, Dremo, Sound Sultan, Diamond Platnumz, and Davido. With a planned tour across the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe, Spyro’s captivating sound and inspiring story are set to reach an even wider global audience.
