AttiFaya has released “Shege,” a new single featuring rapper Blaqbonez, in which the two artists explore themes of hardship and defiance over a beat blending Afrobeats and hip-hop.
Born Destiny Eghomwanre, the Nigerian Afro-fusion artist began his career under the name Attitude before rebranding around a sound he describes as more personal and direct. He has since collaborated with artists including Reekado Banks and Outsyd DJ.

On “Shege,” a word drawn from Nigerian street vernacular that connotes acute suffering or hardship, AttiFaya builds the track around an opening chant that signals its emotional register from the outset. His verses centre on years of struggle, sustained focus and the rejection of shortcuts, with the hook returning repeatedly in a way that frames pressure as something to be claimed rather than escaped.
Blaqbonez contributes a verse that maintains the song’s intensity, weaving together images of street life, ambition, and personal loyalty. A moment in which he expresses a wish to spare his mother from hardship sits alongside lines that project pride and defiance, a tension the track sustains throughout.
“This song is for anyone who has faced pressure and kept going,” AttiFaya said. “We all get our own shege, but it’s what you do with it that matters.”
The track is out now on all streaming platforms via ONErpm.
