The Grammy-nominated singer Destin Conrad has announced an eight-city second leg of his intimate jazz tour, per ratedrnb.com.
Scheduled to begin on July 17 at the Music at the Intersection Festival in St. Louis, the run follows the 2025 release of his alternative jazz project, wHIMSY. Tickets for the new dates go on sale this Friday, May 1, at 10:00 local time via the artist’s official website.

The tour serves as a live extension of Conrad’s recent experimental work. Following the St. Louis opener, the singer will perform in Nashville, Jackson, Pensacola, and Orlando. The itinerary continues through Raleigh and Richmond before concluding on 30 July at the Rumba Cafe in Columbus, Ohio. Several stops, including Nashville and Richmond, will feature both early and late performances.
The wHIMSY project, which Conrad describes as a personal “passion project,” was released only four months after his debut, Love On Digital. The record features a high-profile list of collaborators, including James Fauntleroy, Terrace Martin and Keyon Harrold. Conrad, who has a background in high school jazz choirs, intended the project to be an “off the cuff” reinvention of the genre through a modern lens.
The tour announcement follows the April 10 release of a deluxe edition, titled wHIMSY! This expanded version includes six additional tracks. Conrad stated that the new material explores the intersection of jazz and R&B with increased “movement and play,” building upon the foundations of the original 2025 release.
Destin Conrad’s shift toward jazz marks a significant stylistic evolution for the artist, moving from the contemporary R&B sound of his Grammy-nominated debut toward a more traditional, acoustic-influenced arrangements.
