Veteran Nigerian highlife maestro, Victor Olaiya has died at the age of 89 at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
His death was confirmed by Michael Odion of Premiere Music, the record label that holds his vast music repertoire.
According to Odion, the highlife King gave up the ghost around noon on Wednesday.
