Patoranking has released “Shake That,” a new single featuring Ruger, the third track from his upcoming fifth studio album.
Built around a call-and-response hook, the record blends Afro-dancehall and Afrobeats in a dancefloor-oriented collaboration between two of Nigeria’s most prominent acts. Patoranking contributes his patois-inflected vocal style while Ruger adds a verse that shifts the track’s energy.

The single was produced by Yungwillis, whose credits include work with Davido, Asake and Olamide, alongside Dwillsharmony, known for productions with Wizkid and Seyi Vibez. An accompanying music video was directed by Dammy Twitch.
Speaking on the release, Patoranking said “Shake That” was conceived as a summer follow-up to his earlier collaboration with Buju Banton. “After ‘African Soldier’, I wanted to give my fans something for the summer,” he said. “Ruger brought the vibes. This summer we are dancing.”
The single arrives as Patoranking prepares for his Fire 2026 European tour, which will take him and the Fire Republik Band across the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. The run includes a headline date at London’s Barbican in June, with additional dates to be announced.
Patoranking’s catalogue has accumulated over two billion streams globally. His discography spans four studio albums, from God Over Everything in 2016 to World Best in 2023, and his live performances have reached more than 50 countries.
The song is out now on all major streaming platforms.
