Olivia Rodrigo secures 4th UK No. 1 with comeback single drop dead

Olivia Rodrigo has returned to the summit of the UK music standings as her latest release, “drop dead,” debuted at Number 1, per officialcharts.com. This is the artist’s fourth chart-topper in the United Kingdom, following the success of “drivers license,” “good 4 u” and “vampire”.

The track serves as the lead single for her forthcoming album, titled You seem pretty sad for a girl so in love. Its arrival ends the eight-week dominance of Sam Fender and Olivia Dean’s collaboration, “Rein Me In,” which fell to the second position this week.

The charts also reflected a significant “Coachella effect,” with Justin Bieber experiencing a resurgence across several titles. His 2012 collaboration with Nicki Minaj, “Beauty and a Beat,” climbed to a new peak at Number 3. Additionally, Bieber’s earlier hits Daisies and Baby returned to the Top 10 and Top 40, respectively, while his Sean Kingston collaboration, Eenie Meenie, reappeared in the standings for the first time since 2010.

Other notable movements included Taylor Swift’s “Elizabeth Taylor,” which rose 59 places to Number 14 following a limited-edition vinyl release for Record Store Day. Emerging artists also made gains, with Malcolm Todd’s “Earrings” reaching Number 29 and the dance track “Free Your Mind” by Prospa and Cloonee climbing to Number 30.

The week’s Top 40 concluded with new entries from Sombr, whose single “Potential” reached Number 31, and a collaborative effort from Tyla and Zara Larsson titled “She did it again” at Number 40.
