Avril Lavigne performed ‘Sk8r Boi’ at Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce wedding

Avril Lavigne performed her 2002 hit “Sk8r Boi” at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, according to details shared by American sports analyst Pat McAfee, per ew.com.

The pop superstar and NFL player married in a highly private, star-studded ceremony at New York’s Madison Square Garden on July 3. Speaking on his daily broadcast, The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee, who was among the guests, revealed that the musical artists in attendance took turns performing impromptu sets throughout the evening.

According to McAfee, the musicians freely called one another up to the stage. Alongside the Canadian singer, the evening featured performances by Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks, who was joined on stage by Swift, and Sir Paul McCartney. McCartney reportedly performed the 1963 Beatles classic “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” a song he had not played live since 1964.

Other high-profile guests have since shared details of the wedding’s scale. Television presenter George Stephanopoulos described the atmosphere inside the arena as surprisingly intimate, noting that a custom garden had been constructed inside the venue.

The extensive guest list of musical performers also included Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Camila Cabello, Benson Boone, Ashanti, and country band The Chicks.
