Manana explores fading love & uncertainty in new single ‘Calendar’

Manana has released “Calendar,” a new single exploring the uncertainty of love as it begins to fade.

Born Ndumiso Manana in Eswatini and based in South Africa, the Southern African singer-songwriter and producer trained at the Drakensberg Boys Choir School and studied vocal jazz at the University of Cape Town. His work moves fluidly between R&B, jazz and soul, built on a reputation for personal, relatable storytelling.

“Calendar” reflects on giving everything to a relationship while questioning whether it was ever enough. Over gentle vocals and warm R&B production, Manana revisits memories and unanswered questions, searching for clarity that never quite arrives. The chorus turns on a single doubt: whether he still has a place in the future his partner is building.

“‘Calendar’ is about the moments when you’re searching for answers that may never come,” Manana said. “I wanted the song to give a voice to that feeling of loving someone while wondering if you’re still part of their tomorrow.”

The track, now available on all streaming platforms via ONErpm, is the second single from Manana’s forthcoming project, continuing a body of work centred on honest, human storytelling.
