New Netflix documentary to explore Britney Spears’ conservatorship

Britney Spears’ lengthy and controversial 13-year conservatorship will be examined in the Netflix documentary, Britney vs Spears

The streaming service, according to the New York Post, will release a teaser Wednesday, September 22 but is yet to reveal the documentary’s release date.

Directed by Erin Lee Carr, a teaser for the documentary, which has been in the works for over a year, was released Tuesday.

“Hi. My name is Britney Spears,” the 39-year-old singer’s recognisable voice anchors the earlier teaser trailer that dropped.

In the clip, Spears can be heard leaving a voice message for her lawyer on January 21, 2009, at approximately 12:29 a.m.

“Hi. My name is Britney Spears. I called you earlier. I’m calling again because I just wanted to make sure that during the process of eliminating the conservatorship…” she says in the trailer.
