Megan Thee Stallion reignites feud with Nicki Minaj on new track ‘Rattle’

Megan Thee Stallion has seemingly addressed her one-time ally Nicki Minaj on her new track “Rattle” from her freshly released album, Megan, per The two had a low-simmering beef earlier this year, which now appears to be reignited.

Currently on her first headlining Hot Girl Summer tour, Megan uses “Rattle” to take subliminal shots at Minaj, rapping, “Ain’t got no tea on me, this hoe think she TMZ,” a line repeated throughout the song. The internet is divided on whether these lyrics target Minaj or Megan’s former best friend Kelsey Nicole. However, the clues seem to point to Minaj.

Their issues came to a head earlier this year when Megan released “Hiss,” the opening track of her latest album, where she takes a jab at Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty, convicted of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old. “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan, these hoes mad at Megan’s Law,” she raps, referencing the law requiring public disclosure of sex offenders.

Megan also criticises Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 tour, where Minaj brought out multiple female rappers, rapping, “Only time y’all weak hoes link up is when another bitch tryna get rid of me.”

She further references their 2019 collaboration, “Hot Girl Summer,” mocking Minaj’s continued reflection on their past: “Damn bitch it been four years / Worry ’bout your man and your kid.”

Megan, Megan Thee Stallion’s third studio album, is her first release under her label, Hot Girl Productions, featuring collaborations with UGK, Victoria Monét and GloRilla. The album includes singles like “Hiss,” “Boa” and “Cobra.”
