A New York hotel folio filed in court has revealed that Nicki Minaj checked into the Langham under the alias “Tori Spaulding,” as production company 24/7 Productions seeks to recover a $103,730 bill as part of a wider $275,149.62 lawsuit over unpaid services, per allhiphop.com.
24/7 Productions provided staffing, lighting, sound, security, transportation and hotel accommodation for Minaj’s December 2023 Jingle Ball shows in Chicago and Atlanta, as well as her Pink Friday 2 album launch week in New York. The company says it fronted more than $255,000 for the work, expecting reimbursement that never came, despite the Jingle Ball dates generating roughly $650,000 for Minaj’s company, Pink Friday Productions LLC.
According to the sworn filing, the Langham Hotel folio lists the guest in Room 2504 as “Tori Spaulding,” billed at $9,500 a night for seven nights, with four additional rooms for crew and staff routed to the same master account. Charges on the suite included a $1,939.66 private kitchen dinner on December 12, multiple room-delivery fees, and a minibar bill covering Evian water, Coca-Cola, M&M’s Peanuts and Pringles.
A further $25,197.85 was billed for a Fort Lauderdale stay, covering a Four Seasons suite at $3,800 a night plus separate rooms for Minaj’s security team and stylist. 24/7 Productions CEO Michael John Davies Pryer stated in the filing that Minaj personally approved every budget before work began, and that her team confirmed the debt in writing on December 21, 2023.
After nearly two years pursuing payment, 24/7 Productions filed suit naming both Minaj and Pink Friday Productions as defendants. Minaj’s lawyers have since sought to have her removed from the case personally, arguing she never signed any agreement with the company and cannot be held liable for its debts, describing the suit as an attempt to target a wealthy defendant. Her legal team is also seeking to have 24/7 Productions cover her legal costs.
A judge is scheduled to hear arguments on Minaj’s motion to dismiss on August 3.
