In a fresh new episode of Accelerate TV’s “Guess The Beat“, Nigerian-British singer, D-Yo and Mavin rapper Ladipoe go head to head in a lyrical battle to gain bragging rights as the undisputed BEAT BOSS.
Ladipoe started strong but was derailed halfway and D-Yo eventually took over and beat him by a close one and a half point.

An interesting moment in the show was when both contestants couldn’t place a name to Olu Maintain’s hit song, ‘Yahozee’ even after playing the beat for a while and giving them a few clues.

Ladipoe graciously apologized on camera for not remembering the artiste’s name even after mentioning that the song was done by a Nigerian OG.
Maybe someone should start a Netflix series on Nigerian hip-hop evolution.
