Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar team up for “America Has a Problem” remix

Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar have teamed up on the remix of the song “America Has a Problem”, which is the hit track on the former’s critically acclaimed seventh studio album, Renaissance, released last year to the delight of fans.

And, only a matter of weeks into her highly-anticipated world tour, which kicked off in Stockholm earlier this month, HipHopHero writes, the singer has now released an unexpected remix of the song featuring Kendrick Lamar.

This surprise remix is not the first time the singer has called upon the emcee for a collaboration. In 2016, Beyonce and Lamar collaborated on the iconic track “Freedom” for the singer’s ground-breaking body of work, Lemonade. Lamar took the stage with her at the BET Awards that year to perform the track and even joined the “Partition” singer for the last show of her 2016 Formation World at New Jersey’s Metlife Stadium, where the pair delivered the now legendary single.

This hip-hop-infused rendition sees Lamar deliver a minute-long tongue-twisting verse in which he raps, “My momma told me that the money outgrew you / My horoscope said I’m really out my noodle / I’m troublin’, I’m puzzlin’, it’s sudoku / Say B, yes, America got a problem / Kicked up, choosing love, well, they chose violence.” The Compton musician even goes as far as to declare himself “an honorary Beyhive” member.

Beyoncé is currently on a worldwide tour, and from May through to September, she will be on the road. The superstar will be in Europe for two months, performing in all of the continent’s major cities, including London, Paris, Madrid and Berlin. The ‘Crazy In Love’ singer will also be performing multiple shows in these cities, with some having more than four different dates due to the high demand. Following her Europe leg of the tour, the iconic musician will be touring her album in Canada’s major cities., and will conclude with a US-wide tour with several dates in New York’s Madison Square Garden.
