Jay-Z has added a second London date and a second Los Angeles date to his 30th anniversary tour, with tickets going on general sale on Thursday, July 30, per nme.com.
The rapper was already scheduled to perform at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on September 4 and SoFi Stadium on October 23. He has now added a further show at each venue, on September 5 in London and October 24 in Los Angeles.
Tickets for the new dates go on sale at 10am local time on Thursday for the UK show and at the same time for the US show. A pre-sale will run the day before, also at 10am local time in each market.
The additional dates follow three shows Jay-Z recently played at Yankee Stadium in New York, marking the anniversaries of his albums Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint. On the opening night, Beyoncé joined him on stage to perform Mary J. Blige’s part on “Can’t Knock the Hustle, ” with further appearances from their daughter Blue Ivy Carter, Nas and Alicia Keys. The second night, marking 25 years since The Blueprint, featured guest slots from Eminem and Pharrell.
The third night was delayed by roughly four hours after a security breach at the stadium. Some attendees reportedly got past security checkpoints without being screened, prompting a full lockdown that prevented fans from entering or leaving for an extended period. When Jay-Z eventually took the stage, he thanked the crowd for its patience and told them he had prepared something special. Rihanna appeared among the guests that night.
