Swift launched a website countdown with a deep red background on September 22, alongside updating her Instagram bio.
Physical pre-orders are open for 24 hours across three CD variants: a standard black double-sided cover, a periwinkle acoustic edition, and a dark orange piano edition.
The release follows “I Knew It, I Knew You” from the Toy Story 5 campaign. It also coincides with investigative motifs tied to Swift’s recent cameo in a Law & Order: Special Victims Unit sketch with Mariska Hargitay, and fan references to prior commentary comparing her cultural footprint to emotional contagion.
Swift will receive the inaugural MTV VMA Artist Director Honors on September 27 during the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony.
