The Lights, Camera, Africa! (LCA!) Film Festival is marking its revival with a special 10th-anniversary screening of the landmark documentary, Faaji Agba, a film that paid tribute to Lagos’s veteran highlife musicians and their enduring sound.
First premiered at the LCA! Film Festival in 2015, Remi Vaughan-Richards’ celebrated documentary chronicles the efforts of music historian Kunle Tejuoso to bring together forgotten highlife greats. A decade later, the film remains a potent cultural time capsule, echoing the timeless pulse of Lagos.
This anniversary screening is a celebration of the film’s legacy and also the inaugural event of LCA!’s revival journey, undertaken in collaboration with Mbari Kola – The Arts Society.
The public is invited to an unforgettable evening of film, memory and music to honour the cultural pioneers documented in Faaji Agba.
Date is Wednesday, October 1st, 2025, from 4pm – 8pm at Agip Hall, MUSON Centre, 8/9 Marina Road, Lagos
Guests are advised that this is an invitation-only event and RSVP is strictly required for confirmation and inclusion on the guest list.
The event is hosted by Ugoma Ebilah and The LCA! team.
