Tyla signs global deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation

Tyla has signed a multi-year global recording deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, ending her association with Epic Records ahead of the July 24 release of her second album, “APop,” per allhiphop.com.

The announcement was accompanied by a digital advertising takeover in New York’s Times Square, according to Capital FM.

Financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

The South African singer joins a Roc Nation roster that includes Rihanna, Alicia Keys, John Legend and Christina Aguilera, alongside international artists such as Tiwa Savage, J Balvin, Ayra Starr, Megan Thee Stallion, A$AP Rocky, J. Cole, Rita Ora and Jay Electronica.

The deal follows the global success of her single “Water,” which reached mainstream US charts. Roc Nation’s operations span recording, touring and brand partnerships across music and entertainment.

The company has also expanded into sports representation through Roc Nation Sports, whose clients include footballers Vinicius Jr., Romelu Lukaku and Tyrone Mings, as well as emerging players Yan Diomande and Oliver O’Connor.
