Drake referenced Roc Nation subpoenas and warned rival rappers against dissing him during his return to Kick streaming on Saturday, August 8, his first appearance on the platform in months, complex.com reports.
The Canadian rapper made the remarks during a livestream on August 8. In one clip circulating on X, he said, “GGs the ROC NATION subpoenas about to be cleared,” before laughing. He did not elaborate on which subpoenas he was referring to or the context.
The comment comes as Drake has an active defamation lawsuit appeal involving Roc Nation and Universal Music Group. It was not immediately clear whether the remark was a taunt, a joke about his legal situation, or otherwise.
Elsewhere in the same broadcast, Drake appeared to address rappers considering releasing diss tracks aimed at him.
“These guys are dropping albums, it’s like, hello and goodbye,” he said. “And careful with that reply cos the pen isn’t dry.”
He did not name any artists, though the remarks follow months of heightened tension with other high-profile rappers. Jay-Z is the only rapper to have flipped one of Drake’s lyrics in a viral freestyle in recent months, during his appearance at Roots Picnic.
In another moment from the stream, Drake appeared to take aim at Lil Yachty while discussing plans to celebrate Stake’s 10th anniversary, stating he would be “on a yacht, even though I hate boats.”
Drake’s streaming return follows a rollout for his forthcoming Iceman project that has leaned heavily on creator platforms. His relationship with Jay-Z and Roc Nation has been intermittently tense since 2009 and has drawn renewed attention in 2026.
