Kaia Gerber & Homer Gere star together in FX series ‘The Shards’

Decades after their famous parents divorced, Kaia Gerber and Homer Gere have teamed up to star in the upcoming FX drama series The Shards, having met just weeks before filming began in New York City, per cnn.com.

Homer Gere, the 26-year-old son of Richard Gere and Carey Lowell, and Kaia Gerber, the 24-year-old daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, crossed paths for the first time at a pre-production cast gathering. Despite their parents’ high-profile marriage in the 1990s, the two actors had never previously met.

Reflecting on their collaboration on the red carpet at the New York City premiere, Gerber praised her co-star as an exceptional scene partner who kept her laughing throughout production. The project marks one of the first major acting roles for the younger Gere, who follows in his father’s footsteps and frequently consults him for professional guidance.

Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford were married in 1991 before divorcing four years later in 1995. Both actors have since established successful careers in entertainment, bridging a new chapter in Hollywood family legacies through their joint appearance in The Shards.
