James Corden Updates Fans on His ‘Carpool Karaoke’ Series

Carpool Karaoke fans are going to have to wait a bit longer to see their favorite celebrities having a good old car jam session.

James Corden chatted with fellow talk show host Ellen DeGeneres about his popular Late Late Show segment, in which stars drive around Los Angeles with Corden, singing and catching up on life. Due to its in-person nature, the series was affected (along with the rest of his show) by the coronavirus pandemic.

“I think it will be a while before we’re singing in a car with anybody,” Corden explained. “We can’t really think of a remote way to do it. It really does rely on two people being in close proximity, so that’s alright. It’s okay.”

2020 BET Awards; Black Music’s Biggest Night Makes A Virtual Statement.

For the first time since the show was launched in 2001, the BET Awards will not have an in-person event. The COVID-19 pandemic has made live music performances with in-studio audiences almost impossible because of social distancing requirements. That’s the bad news, but the good news is that the show must go on!

On June 28th, turn to BET at 8 PM EST for the virtual BET Awards 2020!

New Animated Series Showcases the Beauty & Magic of Africa

Africa is really doing a lot to ensure the kids are much educated and well informed about their history, culture and tradition.

The trailer for Gambia’s first-ever animated series for children, featuring awesome characters, such as Princess Halima, Bakary on Safari and Samba and Batch is here.

The Fye Network’s animated series promises to be super-informative while using vibrant two-dimensional graphics to engage the kids.

YaAdam Fye, the co-founder of Fyen Network, says about the animated series, “We dreamt it up more than 13 years ago, and have finally brought it to life.”

She also adds that “The idea came from our own frustration in the lack of diversity in children’s media: the depiction of African characters as only animals and no princess to call our own. It made it hard for the children born into our family, far from our birthplace to connect with the beauty and magic of Africa”, OkayAfrica reports.
