American rapper Saweetie and her touring company, Icy Grl Touring, are facing a $3 million lawsuit after allegedly backing out of a series of concerts in Japan, per hotnewhiphop.com.
Japanese concert promoter Moon Dream Production filed the lawsuit, accusing the artist of fraud and breach of contract after she allegedly failed to perform despite receiving a $100,000 upfront deposit.

According to the legal filing, Moon Dream Production contracted Saweetie for four performances across Japan between July 18 and 26, 2025. The rapper reportedly agreed to a total fee of $200,000, with half paid in advance.
The promoter claims that Saweetie failed to appear for any of the scheduled dates. The lawsuit further alleges that Moon Dream Production secured Japanese visas for the artist and her team, only for Saweetie to use them to perform at alternative venues for rival promoters during the same time period.
Moon Dream Production states that subsequent attempts to recover the initial $100,000 deposit have failed. The company claims it also lost $100,000 in marketing costs and $200,000 in non-refundable venue security deposits.
Prior to the cancellation, the multi-city tour was projected to generate $400,000 in profit. The promoter is now seeking full compensation for its financial losses alongside $3 million in punitive damages from the artist and her touring operation. Neither Saweetie nor Icy Grl Touring have publicly responded to the allegations.
The legal dispute follows a busy period for the California-born rapper, who released her latest EP, *Hella Pressure*, in the summer of 2025. Financial and scheduling disputes of this scale increasingly disrupt international hip-hop tours, where promoters bear heavy upfront liabilities for visas and venue hire.
