Olivia Rodrigo debuted her first-ever featured collaboration, “What’s Wrong With Me,” with The Cure frontman Robert Smith during a surprise set at Primavera Sound Barcelona on June 6, per pitchfork.com.
The performance marked the first live airing of the duet, which Rodrigo described as “special” and said she was “over the moon” about.

Rodrigo introduced the track by telling the crowd it was her first song to include a feature, adding that she “can’t believe that this song exists with the person it exists with.” The collaboration follows her public admiration for Smith, whom she has called a “personal hero.” The pair performed The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven” and “Friday I’m In Love” at Glastonbury in 2025.
Rodrigo’s third studio album, “You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love,” is scheduled for release on June 12. The album’s lead single, “Drop Dead,” references “Just Like Heaven.” Following the album’s release, Rodrigo will begin a world tour running from September.
Rodrigo has frequently cited The Cure as an influence, and her Glastonbury appearance with Smith last year fuelled speculation about a studio collaboration. “What’s Wrong With Me” confirms those rumours and represents a notable crossover between Rodrigo’s pop-rock sound and Smith’s post-punk legacy.
