Minister GUC releases live worship single ‘The Promise’

Minister GUC has released “The Promise (Live),” a new single that captures a live worship session built around declarations of faith and divine assurance.

Born Gift Ugochi Christopher, the Nigerian gospel artist began his music career leading worship in church settings before transitioning into recorded work under EeZee Conceptz. His catalogue has remained consistently centred on ministry-driven material aimed at congregational audiences.

“The Promise (Live)” is structured around the repeated line “You have promised, You never let go”, which forms the spine of the track. The recording alternates between arranged passages and open worship sections, with choir responses and spontaneous vocal moments giving it an unpolished, in-the-room quality. Instrumentation begins softly and builds gradually across the track’s duration.

Lyrically, the song draws on Christian themes of faithfulness and the Holy Spirit as comforter and guide, territory familiar to Minister GUC’s existing audience, though the live format marks a shift in how that material is delivered.

Speaking about the release, Minister GUC said the song emerged from a personal place: “I wanted it to sound like a reminder you can return to at any time.”

“The Promise (Live)” is available now on all major streaming platforms via ONErpm.
