Michael B. Jordan has revealed that he is currently keeping his first Academy Award in his closet while he searches for a permanent display location, per ew.com.
Speaking at the premiere of the Netflix film Swapped on Sunday, the Sinners star admitted that the statuette has moved between several temporary spots in the month since his Best Actor win at the 98th annual Academy Awards.

Jordan, who secured the award for his dual role in the thriller, stated that the accolade is currently “off his mind” as he transitions into his next major project. The actor explained that he has yet to find the right aesthetic fit for the trophy, noting that it remains tucked away while he focuses on his upcoming directorial effort.
The actor is presently developing a remake of the 1968 heist thriller The Thomas Crown Affair, in which he will both direct and star alongside Adria Arjona. Jordan recently debuted early footage of the film at CinemaCon, where he described his vision for the project as a blend of style, sophistication, and rebellion, aiming to give the lead character a distinct mission.
The Best Actor victory marked a career milestone for Jordan, who used his acceptance speech to pay tribute to trailblazing Black actors including Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington and Halle Berry. In a highly competitive category, Jordan outperformed fellow nominees Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Wagner Moura and Ethan Hawke.
His win at the 98th Academy Awards follows a decade of critical and commercial success with the Creed and Black Panther franchises. His move into directing with The Thomas Crown Affair signals a continued shift toward behind-the-camera roles, following his directorial debut with Creed III in 2023.
