Madonna offers reward for return of missing costumes following Coachella performance

Madonna has appealed for public assistance and offered a reward following the disappearance of several archival stage costumes, per variety.com.

The items, which the artist wore during a surprise appearance with Sabrina Carpenter at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Friday, were reportedly taken from her personal collection.

The missing wardrobe includes a purple jacket, corset and dress, alongside other vintage garments pulled from the singer’s private archives. Madonna had repurposed the attire for her recent performance to mark the 20th anniversary of her 2006 appearance in the festival’s dance tent.

The pop star confirmed the loss via her Instagram account, stating that the items are significant markers of her professional history. She noted that additional archival pieces from the same era also went missing following the event.

During the performance, Madonna told the audience that the corset, boots, and jacket were the original items worn during her 2006 set, which promoted her “Confessions on a Dance Floor” album. The recent appearance served a similar promotional purpose for her upcoming “Confessions II” project.

Madonna has requested that anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the garments contact her team at Infomaverick2026@gmail.com. A reward is being offered for the safe return of the collection.

The 2006 Coachella performance is regarded as a pivotal moment in the festival’s history, as Madonna was one of the first major global pop stars to play the event, helping to shift its reputation from an indie-rock focused gathering to a mainstream cultural phenomenon.
