Keanu Reeves’ Dogstar announces ‘Summer Vacation Tour 2024’ across the US

Dogstar, the rock band featuring bassist Keanu Reeves, guitarist and vocalist Bret Domrose, and drummer Rob Mailhouse, has announced their U.S. ‘Summer Vacation Tour 2024,’  per bangpremier.com. The tour kicks off in August following their ongoing European tour, giving American fans the chance to experience their live performances.

In a statement, the band shared their enthusiasm: “We are having the best time out here on the road interacting with fans at these shows, we wanted to keep it going! For this next U.S. run starting in August, we will be planning to try out some new songs as well. Hope to see you out there!” Rob Mailhouse also expressed his excitement on Instagram, thanking fans for their support and saying, “We can’t wait to see everyone! Thank you all for all the love and support. We can feel it every time we take the stage.”

Dogstar’s return last October with their album Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees marked the end of a 23-year hiatus. Keanu Reeves hinted that this album is just the beginning, telling Variety Music, “We want to make another record. We wanna get in the studio, we wanna tour, we wanna play, we wanna travel, we wanna have great shows and have people have a really good time.”

Bret Domrose noted that their new music has a lighter tone compared to previous work. “I think this is a little lighter maybe than some of the last albums, subject-matter-wise. We’re 20 years older, and a lot of life has been lived since the last time we made a record. It turns out we’re not as depressed as we used to be,” he explained. Keanu added, “It’s definitely representative of Dogstar today and not a comp with the Dogstar of the past.”

The tour dates for the ‘Summer Vacation Tour 2024’ span from August 8 in Indianapolis, IN, to September 21 in Maricopa, AZ, covering major venues across the country.
