Ella Langley has made music history as her smash single “Choosin’ Texas” secured its 23rd consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, breaking the all-time record for the longest-running leader in the chart’s 68-year history, per hypebeast.com.
The historic achievement surpasses the previous 22-week record set by Mariah Carey’s holiday classic, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” Released via SAWGOD and Columbia Records, “Choosin’ Texas” debuted on the chart in November 2025 before climbing to the summit in February 2026. The track was co-written by Langley alongside Luke Dick, Miranda Lambert, and Joybeth Taylor.
During its record-breaking tracking frame, the single accumulated 21.8 million official streams, 58.3 million radio audience impressions, and 6,000 track sales.
In addition to its Hot 100 dominance, the track maintains a 41-week reign at the top of the Hot Country Songs chart and ties the all-time record for the longest run on the Digital Song Sales chart at 18 weeks.
