Sarah Jessica Parker has announced that she has read every novel featured on the highly anticipated 2026 Booker Prize shortlist, which highlights six works spanning historical fiction, satire, and family drama, per womansworld.com.
The Booker Prize Foundation revealed the six novels selected for the 2026 shortlist, written in English and published in England and Ireland. Parker, who served as a judge for the award in 2025, confirmed she read all 13 longlisted titles and praised the final selection.
The shortlisted books include M. John Harrison’s dystopian novel The End of Everything, Marlon James’s historical fiction title The Disappearers set in 1988 Kingston, Jamaica, and Luke Kennard’s satire Black Bag.
Rounding out the list are Rebecca Perry’s debut novel May We Feed the King, Elizabeth Strout’s family drama The Things We Never Say, and Douglas Stuart’s Isle of Harris-set family story John of John.
The Booker Prize is widely regarded as a leading literary award in the English-speaking world. The winner of the 2026 prize will be officially announced on November 9.
