Ed Sheeran commenced the North American leg of his global “LOOP Tour” on Saturday, June 13, at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, according to a consequence.net report.
The massive 27-date stadium run is launched in support of the British singer-songwriter’s latest studio album, Play, and marks the musician’s return to major North American venues following the tour’s initial European leg.

The extensive concert series will see Sheeran perform in major metropolitan areas across the United States and Canada, including Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Philadelphia and a three-night residency at the Rogers Centre in Toronto. The tour features performances at high-capacity venues such as Gillette Stadium outside Boston and MetLife Stadium outside New York, before concluding at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on November 7.
A rotating line-up of high-profile supporting acts will join Sheeran on various dates throughout the five-month run. The opening roster includes Macklemore, Sigrid, Lukas Graham, Myles Smith, Amble, Aaron Rowe, Ellie Banke, and Biird.
For the scheduled July 18 performance at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Sheeran has partnered with Flavor Flav’s “She Got Game” weekend. The collaboration will provide complimentary concert tickets to members of the United States women’s Winter Olympic and Paralympic teams.
The tour follows the commercial success of Play, which was released in September. The record achieved widespread international success, securing the number-one position on multiple music charts worldwide and debuting at number five on the US Billboard album chart.
