Megan Thee Stallion teases new project

Megan Thee Stallion has confirmed her return to music, sharing a series of images on social media with the messages “I’m back” and “Act III” written across her back, per hiphopwired.com. The post, shared on Monday, August 10, is the first significant update on the project following months of silence.

The 31-year-old rapper’s post signals the conclusion of an album trilogy that began with her self-titled release in June 2024. The follow-up, Megan: Act II, arrived in October 2024 . The project is expected to arrive in 2026.

The three-time Grammy winner has previously confirmed that the record is nearing completion. In an interview with People magazine in January, she said: “I’m completing Act III and the music is dropping this year”. She had also asked fans for patience, stating she was spending time in the gym and the studio to finalise the project .

The teaser comes after a period in which the rapper made her Broadway debut in March 2026, becoming the first woman to play nightclub owner Harold Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The Musical . More recently, she has featured on remixes, including BossMan Dlow’s “Motion Party” and Juvenile’s “B.B.B.” .

It is currently unclear if recent singles such as “Lover Girl” will feature on the album, but speculation remains high that the final instalment will be released soon.
