Noble G and collaborator Splendr have released The Oil & The Wine, a four-track extended play.
The project centres on themes of unconditional grace, spiritual transformation, and emotional closeness, drawing on both English and Yoruba in its final track.
The EP opens with “Just Because,” in which Noble G addresses the concept of unearned love. The lyrical repetition of the titular phrase anchors the song in a posture of acceptance rather than religious obligation. The second track, “Change,” shifts toward the experience of leaving fear behind and moving into freedom through faith, maintaining the calm, introspective tone that runs throughout the project.
“Fade Away” slows the pace further, contrasting the impermanence of human circumstance with what Noble G frames as the constancy of divine love. The closing track, “Love,” features Noble G and Splendr blending English and Yoruba in an expression of reassurance and intimacy. Production across all four tracks is sparse and deliberate, foregrounding vocal performance and lyrical content.
Noble G described the EP as emerging from a position of rest. “It’s about knowing you are loved without having to prove anything,” he said.
*The Oil & The Wine* is Noble G’s most direct articulation yet of a creative approach shaped by personal faith rather than performance. The project is distributed via ONErpm and is available across all major streaming platforms.
