Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie will read from her new book Notes on Grief in a sold out event Saturday, January 15 in Lagos.
According to Narrative Landscape Press, “In a first event of 2022, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is home to meet with her Nigerian readers and talk about her new book, Notes on Grief. The book is an exquisite work of meditation, remembrance, and hope, written in the wake of her beloved father’s death in 2020. Join the author as she reads excerpts from the book and takes questions from the audience.
“Tickets have been sold out. For those who could not get tickets, this was always planned as a small intimate event, and Chimamanda wanted her readers to get a chance to share the evening with her. We are working on more events, for a larger audience. We hear you, and we will act to make this better. Keep watching the TL for announcements”.
The publisher enjoins guests attending to come early, with their masks and check other attendance details in their tickets.
“Grief is a cruel kind of education. You learn how ungentle mourning can be, how full of anger. You learn how glib condolences can feel”. – Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Notes on Grief
