Dubai’s ‘The Fridge’ launches virtual series of concerts.

The popular concert series is back for its 32nd season

The Fridge, Alserkal Avenue’s musical hub, is bringing back its popular concert series for its 32nd season – virtually.

Live music-lovers across the UAE will be treated to a series of virtual concerts from top local talent every Monday at 8pm throughout June.

Livestreaming directly from The Fridge, the series kicks off tonight (Monday June 8) with Viktoriia Demi, a highly talented and award-winning pianist. Demi has won numerous piano competitions across Europe and performed at some of the finest music festivals around the world – needless to say, we’re excited to see her virtual performance.

Next Monday (June 15), Noush Like Sploosh will be performing from her debut album, Whimcycle, and on Monday June 22 music fans can expect stellar tunes from local band NOON. Expect a mix of funk groove, African and Indian percussive rhythms and electronic effects from the talented trio.

Taking to the virtual stage on Monday June 29 is the Niki Mukhi Quintet. Having performed in over 50 cities around the world, their high intensity performances feature exciting original compositions inspired by Indian Classical, Flamenco and West African music.

All the concerts will start at 8pm sharp and will be streamed live via www.thefridgedubai.com/scene.

Nigerian singer, Chike, stole the show with his debut album “Boo of the Booless“, an album which featured love anthems like “Beautiful People“, “Out of Love” and “Amen“, a true celebration of love.

Due to the massive success of “Boo of the Booless“, which has been hailed as a classic by critics and has earned over 10 million cumulative streams, Chike has teamed up with top producers across the globe to get the world dancing with “Dance of the Booless“, an extended play that will arrive in three volumes.

Samuel Olatunji’s Forthcoming Crime Comedy, “Honeymoon Nightmare” Stars Yvonne Jegede & Deyemi Okanlawon

The director for “Dear Affy“, Samuel Olatunji has announced his second directorial project dubbed “Honeymoon Nightmare”, a crime comedy starring Yvonne Jegede, Deyemi Okanlawon, Adedimeji Lateef, Bimbo Thomas, Lizzy Jay, and Ufuoma Stacey McDermott.

According to the official Instagram for the forthcoming:

The movie is about a new couple that got caught up in a nightmarish series of events 48 hours after their wedding in a hotel full of different characters like- Gossipy Ghost, sex-craze MD, Cantankerous ball boy, stalking ex, disgruntled ex-staff, and two quarrelsome staff torn apart by a lover boy and others. The presence of hilarious policemen and a lady commander added twists and turns.

The upcoming crime comedy was written by Saviour Kings Bob.
