Prime Video’s “Saltburn” hits screens worldwide ahead of Christmas

Prime Video is set to stream one of its most significant films just in time for the festive season, Shortlist reports. Saltburn, a riveting thriller written and directed by Emerald Fennell, acclaimed for her work on Promising Young Woman and Killing Eve, is making its way to the streaming giant shortly after its theatrical debut.

The narrative unfolds at Oxford University, where an unsuspecting student finds himself entangled in a web of intrigue spun by an aristocratic classmate. Invited to a family estate, the summer takes a shocking turn, weaving a tale of suspense and drama.

The star-studded cast includes Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Richard E. Grant, and Rosamund Pike, garnering mixed yet compelling reviews.

Barry Keoghan’s portrayal is hailed by The Wall Street Journal as pivotal, with an uncanny ability to exude shifty and devious nuances even in repose. Time Out lauds Fennell’s dark comedy, expertly skewering the English class system. ABC News emphasises the magnetic allure, while Rolling Stone invites viewers for both the class warfare and Keoghan’s compelling performance.

The unique streaming strategy is attributed to Amazon Studios’ production, mirroring the success of Air. Following a 36-day theatrical window, Saltburn will be available on Prime Video worldwide starting December 22. With speculation swirling around potential Oscar nominations, especially for Keoghan, Fennell aims to replicate the triumph of Promising Young Woman, which clinched the Best Screenplay Oscar in 2021.

Movie enthusiasts can anticipate a cinematic treat as Saltburn unravels its gripping tale on the Prime Video platform this holiday season.
