Matthew Perry, beloved “Friends” actor, dies at 54

Friends star Matthew Perry has died at age 54, reports Parade.

On Saturday, October 28, the actor was reportedly found at a Los Angeles home where he appears to have drowned, law enforcement sources told TMZ.

Emergency personnel responded to a call at approximately 4 p.m., the Los Angeles Times reported. It’s said Perry was found unresponsive in a jacuzzi at the home.

There were no drugs located at the scene or foul play involved, TMZ further reported.

Fans of Friends immediately took to social media to react to the news of the actor, who played Chandler Bing in the long-running sitcom.

One X (formerly Twitter) user wrote, “chandler has always been such a comfort character growing up, i can’t believe matthew perry is gone.”

Another fan declared, “Matthew Perry gave the world one of the best comedic performances and comfort characters in television, he was not a character but I hope he knows he made an impact on a lot of people, RIP.”

Someone else wrote, “thank you matthew perry for giving us chandler bing you and he will never be forgotten.”
