iamAFRICA Announces Short Film competition

The iamAFRICA Short Film, One of the most prestigious competitions in Africa, has recently been announced.

A collaboration between The Africa Narrative at Norman Lear Center USC, YouTube, and the Pan African Film Festival (PAFF) is inviting African filmmakers working on the continent to submit their story-driven video of any format, style, and genre of less than 30 minutes in length to PAFF’s first-ever YouTube category. Alumni of Del-York Creative Academy are encouraged to submit their short projects.

All submissions must be uploaded to the submissions portal at www.paff.org/iamAFRICA by October 31, 2019.

Winning filmmakers will be given an extraordinary opportunity to embark on an all-expense-paid trip to Los Angeles to attend the 28th Annual Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles in February 2020.

While in California, winners will be the VIP guests of both the Pan African Film Festival and YouTube and will attend a variety of public and private events.
