Ed Sheeran cancels Las Vegas concert, issues apology to fans

In an unexpected turn of events, Ed Sheeran left his fans in disappointment when he cancelled his highly anticipated Las Vegas concert just hours before showtime. The 32-year-old “Shape of You” singer was all set to perform at Allegiant Stadium, situated just below the glittering Vegas Strip, as part of his North American tour.

Sheeran took to Instagram to issue an apology, expressing disbelief at the situation and citing challenges during the load-in process as the reason for the cancellation. He conveyed his heartfelt apologies to fans who had travelled from near and far for the performance. The rescheduled date for the Vegas show was set for Saturday, October 28th, with previously purchased tickets remaining valid.

Allegiant Stadium had hinted at issues earlier in the day, leading to the show being “significantly delayed.” Frustrated fans took to social media to vent their disappointment, with some recounting the inconvenience and expenses incurred due to the last-minute cancellation.

Despite this setback, Ed Sheeran’s North American tour will continue, with upcoming stops in California. He also recently announced special dates at London’s Royal Albert Hall in November, promising an unforgettable experience with a live band and string section.
