Cardi B’s “Invasion Of Privacy” makes music history

Rap queen Cardi B has made music history as she has become the first woman to have every song on an album become RIAA-certified platinum, Kiss reports.

According to the report, this isn’t the first time her debut album Invasion Of Privacy has had industry recognition, as in 2019 it won a Grammy award for Best Rap Album.

Cardi’s 2018 album is now triple platinum, with all 13 songs certified platinum or higher by the Recording Industry Association of America. The album features songs like ‘Bodak Yellow’ and ‘I Like It’ which were among her most popular tracks and those songs have now been certified diamond.

She tweeted to share the exciting news and said: ‘AMAZING ….can’t wait for my second album Thanks for all the love & support’.

This comes after another milestone, when the same album had all songs certified gold. According to the Billboard 200 Decade-End chart, the album is also the biggest-selling rap album from a female artist of the 2010s. A HUGE win for Cardi!

On the three-year-anniversary of ‘Invasion Of Privacy’ coming out, she posted a sweet message on Twitter to mark the occasion, saying: ‘Thank you everyone that’s been showing IOP love today .It feels like a birthday lols. I get real sweet and bittersweet memories when I listen to the album, I faced many challenges through the process and after but the outcome was beautiful and successful. Love you forever.’ (sic)

Although her second album is yet to come out, the ‘I Like It’ singer did have MASSIVE success with her track ‘WAP’ with Megan Thee Stallion which she dropped in 2020, and she then released the track ‘Up’ in February 2021.
