Book on Review with Benjy on Classic 97.3 FM will today, Saturday 30 July, host former CEO Guinness Nig Plc; former Chairman Promasidor, columnist and author Chief Keith Richards who penned Never Quite The Insider.
Time for the session that promises to be enlightening is 9 pm.
According to award-winning poet and lawyer, Tade Ipadeola, “Never Quite The Insider is an account that goes where very few narratives dare… Every page is a vein of treasure, every chapter an epiphany – Keith Richards pulls no punches and tells it as it really is…”
For prominent broadcaster and editor, Kadaria Ahmed, the book tells a “…sincere, engaging story both on how to do business but also how not to do business if one genuinely wants Nigeria to develop”
Indeed, Never Quite The Insider, part memoir, part management practice and part travelogue, and written by someone who describes himself as an ‘Outsider Inside’ is a candid, earnest and forthright account of his 35-year ‘love affair’ with Nigeria, discussing sensitive issues – corruption, ethnicity, multi-nationals’ complacency, whether white men should wear traditional dress and more.
The book takes the reader on a journey into the quasi-Masonic chambers of the Nigerian boardroom, shrouded in webs of secrecy of which slivers of information are revealed only partially.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The radio programme’s host, Benjamin Okoh, posting on Instagram says, “we can’t wait for this super #Musthave #Mustread book.”
