Anne Hathaway has confirmed she is pregnant with her third child, sharing a video of her baby bump on Instagram on June 19 after photographs from a family holiday in the French Riviera prompted speculation, reports parade.com.
Hathaway, 43, posted a clip set to Barbara Lewis’s ‘Baby, I’m Yours’, in which she appeared in a white dress with her hands clasped around her abdomen before revealing her bump. She captioned the post, “xBaby, I’m yours x”.
The confirmation followed reports that the actress had been photographed on a beach in the south of France earlier this week. Hathaway last appeared publicly at the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in New York City in April, where she wore a custom Louis Vuitton corset dress.
Hathaway and her husband, jewellery designer Adam Shulman, married in 2012. They have two sons, Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, born in March 2016, and Jack Shulman, born in November 2019.
The actress has spoken previously about motherhood and fertility. In a 2022 interview with WSJ, she said she could see the couple having another child, adding that pregnancy and having children was “so much more complicated” than is often portrayed.
Hathaway has not disclosed a due date. Tributes from fans and fellow actors, including Suki Waterhouse, followed her Instagram announcement.
Hathaway won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Les Misérables in 2013. She is currently promoting the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, reprising her role as Andy Sachs.
