Laufey has signed a joint recording deal with Interscope Records and Verve Records following the conclusion of her 70-date global arena tour, per udiscovermusic.com.
The agreement follows the September 12 finale of the two-time Grammy-winning artist’s A Matter of Time tour in Mexico City, where she performed to a sold-out crowd exceeding 17,000.
She is currently writing and recording new material.
Accumulating over seven billion global streams independently, Laufey previously won Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album Grammy Awards for 2023’s Bewitched and 2025’s A Matter of Time.
Her career highlights include headline arena shows, orchestral collaborations, global community arts programming via “A Very Laufey Day,” and literary recognition.
The partnership is a major career shift for the Icelandic-Chinese artist, transitioning from independent operations to joint backing by major Universal Music Group imprints Interscope and Verve.
