Njerae has released two new singles, “On My Own” featuring KayCyy and “Let Them Noke” exploring themes of self-worth, accountability and romance.
The release comes fresh off the Kenyan singer, songwriter and producer’s nomination for Best Female Artist East Africa at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards.
“On My Own,” produced by Vic West, reunites Njerae with Kenyan-born American artist KayCyy following their 2025 collaboration “Far Away”. The track blends their vocal styles to tell a story of love and independence.
”Let Them Know,” produced by Jaz Beats, highlights a more vulnerable side of Njerae’s artistry as she explores unexpected romantic attachment. Njerae stated that releasing the tracks simultaneously was a deliberate choice to balance themes of self-preservation and emotional openness.
KayCyy joins the project during an expansive period in his career, which includes joining A$AP Rocky’s AWGE creative ecosystem, completing an opening stint on the North American tour, and contributing to high-profile international tracks.
Njerae’s latest releases follow a banner year on streaming platforms, led by her breakout 2025 single “Aki Sioni,” which surpassed 9,300,000 streams on Spotify.
