Lil Maina has announced his upcoming album, “Stunna,” releasing two new singles titled “Vimajor” and “Tetemesha” that blend contemporary styles with early 2000s Kenyan pop genres Genge and Kapuka.
”Vimajor,” which translates to “in a major way,” features a collaboration with his uncle, Wilson Kanyi, bridging family ties and generational music history. The track reflects the Kenyan artist’s personal lineage and connection to Kenya’s urban music landscape.
Meanwhile, “Tetemesha,” meaning “to shake things up,” focuses on movement and disruption. Lil Maina recorded the track after returning from the United States during a session with producer So Fresh, drawing inspiration from 50 Cent and classic Kenyan hits like K-Rupt’s “Bamba” featuring E-Sir.
Together, the two records establish the thematic foundation of the forthcoming project, balancing cultural heritage with modern reinvention.
