Megan Thee Stallion reportedly rejected a collaboration with the popular video game franchise Call of Duty after learning she would be a shootable character, a decision linked to the PTSD diagnosis she received after being shot by Tory Lanez, per complex.com.
The rapper’s mental health and trauma processing appear to be the reasons why the collaborative opportunity, which was pursued by her team, never materialised.

On Wednesday (November 19), Daniel Kinney, Roc Nation’s Senior VP of Branding & Strategic Partnerships, testified during Megan Thee Stallion’s defamation case against blogger Milagro Gramz. Kinney spoke about several potential deals, including the Call of Duty offer.
According to testimony reported by journalist Meghann Cuniff, Kinney stated that Megan “ditched ‘Call of Duty’ when she learned she would be a shootable character in the game.” Kinney added that the offer “triggered her and she full stop said ‘I’m not doing this.'”
Megan Thee Stallion has been open about the emotional fallout from the 2020 shooting incident involving Tory Lanez. TMZ reported that the 30-year-old artist underwent an intensive $240,000 course of Dialectical Behavior Therapy to help process her trauma. Her attorneys have also officially confirmed her PTSD diagnosis, identifying the diagnosing physician as Dr. Lenore Walker.
The Roc Nation executive’s testimony came during Megan’s ongoing defamation lawsuit, filed last October, which accuses Gramz of a “campaign of harassment and cyberbullying” in connection with Lanez’s conviction for the shooting.
In a related development last week, Tory Lanez and his attorney were held in contempt of court and fined $20,000 after Lanez refused to answer questions during a deposition for Megan’s case against Gramz.
Lanez, who is currently serving time for the shooting, reportedly inquired about potential sanctions for non-compliance. Upon learning he could face contempt, fines, and additional jail time, he allegedly responded, “Whatever the fines are, I’ll pay them. I’m a millionaire. I don’t care.”
Lanez subsequently left the deposition room, returned, got upset, and then departed permanently after making derogatory comments toward Megan’s legal team, refusing to return and finalise the deposition.
