Rapper Rod Wave (born Rodarius Marcell Green) was arrested in Atlanta on Friday, November 7, the same day he received his first-ever Grammy Award nomination, per tmz.com.
The 27-year-old American rapper, singer, and songwriter, best known for hits like “Street Runner” and “Heart On Ice,” was taken into custody by the Atlanta Police Department (APD) on four charges. The arrest occurred shortly after his track “Sinners” was nominated in the Best Song Written for Visual Media category.

The charges Green faces include possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime, possession of a controlled substance, and reckless driving, according to reports from TMZ.
The Milton Police Department confirmed to the Daily Mail that authorities initially responded to a call regarding a “possible domestic disturbance” at a local residence. Upon arrival, officials determined the incident involved “a previously unreported burglary and the subsequent discharge of a firearm.” The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Rod Wave reportedly turned himself in and was released from police custody on Saturday, November 8, after posting an $8,000 bond, his attorneys confirmed to TMZ.
