Complete list of Tony Awards winners as ‘Maybe Happy Ending,’ ‘Purpose,’ others take home top prizes

Broadway’s biggest night delivered stunning wins and star power as the 2025 Tony Awards celebrated theatre’s finest talents, per hollywoodreporter.com.

Host Cynthia Erivo guided audiences through an evening packed with memorable performances and emotional victories. “Maybe Happy Ending” claimed the coveted Best Musical trophy, while “Purpose” took home Best Play honours.

The acting categories saw fresh faces triumph. Sarah Snook and Cole Escola won lead play awards, while Darren Criss and Nicole Scherzinger captured musical honours. Criss, who also co-hosted the preshow, earned his first Tony nomination for “Maybe Happy Ending.”

“Sunset Blvd.” and “Eureka Day” also secured major wins, capping off a competitive season.

The ceremony featured show-stopping performances from nominated productions including “Buena Vista Social Club,” “Death Becomes Her,” and “Gypsy.” Special guests ranged from Oprah to Keanu Reeves, adding Hollywood glamour to Broadway’s night.

Harvey Fierstein received a lifetime achievement award, while Celia Keenan-Bolger was honoured with the Isabelle Stevenson Award for Arts Advocacy.

The evening celebrated both emerging talent and Broadway veterans, proving theatre’s enduring power to captivate audiences worldwide.
